CAN YOU DO AN “ALL MEAT DAY” ON PHASE 2 OF THE HCG DIET?

The HCG diet weight loss protocol is not something that you can sit and stare at every day. The protocol contains the guidelines set forth by Dr.Simeons for you to reach your weight loss goal. It is imperative to follow the 500 calorie setting during this phase. Consuming more than 500 calories is already a risk of weight gain. Although there is an 800 calorie version of VLCD, you should plan it. The calories that you will be consuming must come from healthy foods in your diet food list. You can have vegetables, fruits, and meats.

Can you do an “all meat day” during Phase 2 of the HCG diet?

There is no such thing as all meat day during the HCG diet except for the steak day and the mini-steak day. When you eat meats all day, you might miss the nutrients and essential vitamins from other food choices. When you eat meat all day, it can result in constipation or irregular digestion. You cannot have 500 calories of lean meat for the whole day while you are on VLCD. It has disadvantages such as;

  • Feeling of bloatedness
  • Slow digestion
  • Hardening of stools
  • Sleeping interruption
  • Stomach pain or gas

During the HCG diet, the all-meat day refers to the steak day during Phase 3 and mini-steak day on Phase 2. These are the weight loss corrector when you weight stalls for three consecutive days. The mini-steak day on Phase 2 is a derivative version of the original steak day on Phase 3 weight gains. However, you can only do the steak day and mini-steak day by eating nothing all day and prepare a piece of steak for dinner. You can do the steak day and mini-steak day during a plateau or stall.

What are the meats you can eat during Phase 2 of the HCG diet?

You can broil or grill lean meats such as;

  • Beef
  • Veal
  • Fresh white fish
  • Crabmeat
  • Shrimp
  • Chicken breast

The meats must have no visible fats, and you should weigh them before cooking. Avoid eating salmon, tuna, or dried fish to prevent weight gain. Limiting the meat choices may sound painful at the start, but it will all be worth it when the weight loss results show off.

Can eating meat all day leads to weight gain during Phase 2?

Eating meats all day can cause weight gain when you do it always. It does not only lead to discomfort but also several weight loss issues. When you control your meat intake to 200 grams per day during the VLCD, it will not lead to weight gain. What causes you to gain weight is when you indulge in meats, especially those containing oil, grease, and fats.

There are several other healthy and delicious treats you can have while on an HCG diet aside from meats. Aside from the protein from lean meats, you can also get several vital nutrients from fruits and vegetables. Your 500 calorie meal during Phase 2 does not only consist of lean protein but also a portion of vegetables and a whole fruit.
