Why does the HCG Diet Succeed than Other Weight Loss Program?

HCG diet is low fat and low-calorie weight loss process. This diet process is divided into 4 phases which include, loading, VLCD, stabilization, and maintenance phase. Each step must be accomplished before you will proceed to the next phase of the protocol. Skipping one phase is not allowed because it affects your entire weight loss process.

How to start the loading phase or P1 of the HCG diet?

Phase 1 is known as the loading phase where gorging takes place. Phase 1 is the two day loading period which allows you to eat as many calorie-dense foods as you can. Carbs and fats are also an excellent source for your gorging meal. Remember that you are doing the gorging phase not to promote your food indulgences. This is done to help your fat stores in preparing for the next phase of your HCG diet.

You can still eat fried foods, bread, starches, cookies and desserts during this phase. However, it is better to load more on healthy fat choices. Always remember not to overdo or overeat until you get sick. Eat until you build up and max out your fat stores. The loading phase is a beneficial step to ensure fat loss throughout the entire HCG diet process.

At day 1 of your loading phase, you also have to start administering your HCG shot. The fat burning starts as soon as the diet hormones take place in your body. It will burn the unreached fats in various parts of your body. Continue to eat and prepare your fat stores. It is important to stay full and satisfied throughout phase 1.

What are the foods allowed during Phase 1 of the HCG diet?

  • Fatty or fried meats, fatty fish, bacon, and eggs
  • All cuts of pork, chicken and beef meat
  • Cream cheese, butter, heavy cream and milkshakes
  • Guacamole, nuts, starches, avocado, and potatoes
  • Bread, burger, hotdog sandwiches, pastries, and buns

Important reminder before starting the loading phase

Undergo a medical check-up before you will start the HCG diet. This is to help you prepare and assess yourself physically. If you are sick, it is better to wait until you fully recovered to start the weight loss process. All of your body resources are needed in reaching your weight loss goal. Do not do the HCG diet if you are experiencing life-threatening diseases. You are also not allowed to start the weight loss if you are having your menstruation. This is because the hormones in your body are not yet ready for weight loss. You can start your weight loss as soon as your period ends.

Starting the P2 or Very Low-Calorie Diet (VLCD)

The very low-calorie diet comes right after you finish the 2-days loading. Phase 2 is the most challenging part of the HCG diet. You will be cutting down your intake of calories to 500 calories per day. Your body will take time to adjust to the process of the very low-calorie diet. You may experience light symptoms in the first few days of the VLCD. However, it will just be gone as soon as your body adjusts to the calorie cut down. Always remember that phase 2 is a “no sugar, fats, and starch diet”.

The main work of HCG in your body

Psychological hunger has nothing to do with the needs of your body. This hunger is just all in the mind. Psychological hunger often causes cravings, social hunger, and emotional hunger. Cravings appear even if you are not physically hungry. This is the effect of your unhealthy food indulgences that causes you to gain weight. Social hunger is a common feeling when you are on a big celebration. This often comes when you are in a party, meetings, and gatherings. You may not be hungry but you will end up eating something.

Emotional hunger is a complicated type of hunger. This is a product of your emotions such as stress, anger, or irritation. Emotional hunger causes you to have a wrong relationship with foods. The HCG works directly in targeting the stubborn fats in the hard to reach areas of your body. It can also reset your metabolism and adjust the metabolic rate.

The Phase 3 of the HCG diet

This is known as the stabilization phase. Phase 3 comes after the VLCD and this is the time that you also reached your weight loss goal. The purpose of Phase 3 is not anymore about losing weight. This is about maintaining the weight loss that you accomplish during the VLCD. The stabilization phase is adding more foods on your meal. It is also the time that you are done with your HCG shot. The stabilization phase is making sure that the diet hormones are totally out of your system.

The important points you must follow during P3 of the HCG diet

  • Read all the food labels before you will purchase
  • Do not load on sugar, starch, and fatty foods
  • Do not eat outside or in any food chains
  • Continue to track your intake of calories the same as you do on P2
  • Slowly introduce more foods to give your body a time to adjust

Phase 4 or the maintenance phase of the HCG diet

Phase 4 is also known as “the rest of your life”. This is because you will be maintaining the acquired weight loss longer. This is the phase where you can eat real foods. You have to be extra careful in this phase because you might gain your weight back. Be watchful on the foods you eat and even your habits. You are not allowed to go back on your unhealthy eating habits during this phase.

Continue loading healthy foods such as organic products. You can now add sugar and starches but in minimal amount. It is better to choose healthy carb options such as boiled potatoes. Minimize your intake of fried foods, processed food products, and beverages. Water is a good replacement for unhealthy and calorie-loaded drinks. You can also replace your food indulgences with fruits and vegetables. Continue to apply all the healthy habits and eating tips you got during the HCG diet.
